NHL’ers Jordie and Jamie Benn are said to be heartbroken. They grew up and played Pennisula hockey and knew Larry Orr very well. Just eight days after dropping the ceremonial puck at the Sharks & Canucks game in Colwood, Larry Orr passed away from cancer on Tuesday evening. He was 73. Tributes and fond memories have been flooding in from parents and kids about what an amazing man he was and what a positive influence he has been.

If you missed last weeks Hockeyville game on Rogers Sportsnet and the informal centre ice version of Coaches Corner, Don Cherry paid tribute to Larry Orr. There is a reason Mr. Orr got a standing ovation from over 3,000 fans. ~Forbes N’ Marshall

Here’s the TC article about Mr. Orr.
