Enjoy the Rotary carnival style games, dog show, watermelon contest, food vendor & concession area and more.

Bring your bathing suit and try out the water spray park!

Fort Rodd Hill in Colwood 

Have your cake by the ocean on Canada Day! Victoria’s biggest Canada Day birhday cake is always served at Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites. Come celebrate Canada with live music throughout the day and other fun family activities. Enjoy the food and snacks at the concession, but remember to leave a bit of room for a piece of the HUGE cake.

Fort Rodd Hill Admission and a piece of cake is FREE.

Gorge Canada Day Picnic & Gorge on Art

Canada Day 2016, from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., along the beautiful Gorge Waterway between Tillicum and Admirals Road. Gorge Road West from Tillicum to Admirals will be closed to traffic from 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Great family activities with a Canada Day Family Parade, Pancake Breakfast, Canada Day Show and Shine car show, Gorge on Art, multicultural food, voyageur canoe rides on the Gorge, Canada Day Artisan Market, Community Engagement displays, Craigflower School House open house, Strawberry Tea, street hockey, and kids’ inflatables and activities.

Sooke Canada Day

Free Admission Gates open at 12 Noon

1:00 Opening Ceremony: Sooke Pipe & Drums & RCMP lead in the parade: Sooke Pipe & Drums, Royal Canadian Legion Br 54 Colour Party, dignitaries, others with all the Territorial and Provincial flags of Canada will be paraded in.

1:30 Free Canada Day Cake served after opening ceremony!

ALL DAY: Fun for the whole family – kids games, music and more! Bring chairs, blanket and have fun. Business & demonstration booths, Craft Fair, games in the KIDS ZONE- Races, Inflatable Play Zone, Face Painting

FIREWORKS in the FIELD at the Campground depend on weather conditions. Sometimes it is not known right up to the afternoon if it is wet enough to set off the fireworks show.
