Howdy-doodle, hosers!

Welcome to a red, white and rainbow coloured edition of fun finding adventures! This long weekend was stuffed to the brim with all the Canada Day and Pride Week celebrations. My arms are so sunburned that I look like a Canadian Flag when I take off my shirt, but that absolutely won’t stop the show!

Parliament lawn was jumping all day on Sunday. The living flag was an insanely creative way to start the day, and the live musical shows kept getting better.

Unfortunately, I missed the start of that show because I was having way too much fun at Dragball, the most fabulous sportsgame that was ever sported. The Annual Memorial Dragball Game kicks off Pride Week in Victoria every year. No jokes, folks, this was an amazing event held by some very proud people, and an amazing tribute to those the community has lost over the years. Mayor Lisa Helps delivered the Pride Week proclamation. It’s a nice reminder of how far we’ve come as a society. Love always wins, and it’s nice when it does it in a flowing ballgown and 5″ heels.

Listen for me on the Morning Show with Robin and Aj this week, and as always, a special #OceanFamily thanks to Westshore Town Centre, Beacon Hill Children’s Farm, Barb’s Fish & Chips, Peninsula Co-op, and Campus Nissan. See you next week!
