Congratulations to Jesse Levesque who is our Elite Sportswear Athlete of the Week.  Jesse Levesque, 14 year old, Grade 10 at Belmont Secondary. He is very athletic and enjoys all sports. He sets a goal and works hard to achieve it. He recently made the Midget A team at Juan de Fuca Minor Hockey as the only first year Midget Forward player, a goal he set in the Summer and achieved. Jesse has very poor eye sight yet he doesn't let that stop him. He's learned to adapt and he now where's contacts. He recently took up Football to represent his school and between the play book and his classes at a new school he's managing to get good grades in class and show he can be a leader on the field.

Congratulations to Yvonne and her cat Zoey is the the winner of our Island Pet Source VIP Pet of the Month.  Zoey is our 12 year old cat who is always purring.  If she is sleeping and hears you approach, she will start purring.  If you say hello, she purrs.  Although she is technically a senior there is still a kitten in there and she gets excited when we bring out the toys.  While she doesn't always appreciate the addition of a child, she is tolerant and tries her best.  Zoey responds to the words "Chow Chow", bug, treat, and "get it!" and becomes very animated for each direction.  We love her and think she's an awesome cat who deserves this prestigious honor.
