"Barenaked Ladies VIP Experience Contest Rules"

ROGERS BROADCASTING LIMITED

“Contest Period” starts at 12:00 am on March 15th 2010, up until 11:59pm on March 28th, 2010, the “Contest Closing Date”, to enter, go to www.ocean985.com, and sign up to The OCEAN VIP PLATINUM CLUB for free via link and fully complete the sign up information, redeem 1000 Points for each entry and submit by, the Contest Closing Date for an entry into the Contest. Existing members of the OCEAN VIP CLUB must sign-up to become an OCEAN VIP PLATINUM CLUB member and have redeemed 1000 Points for a Contest entry in order to be eligible to win.  Individuals may enter as many times as they wish provided they redeem 1000 Points per entry.  All times are Pacific Times.

  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter this Contest without redeeming 1000 Points, during the Contest, please hand print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, age, Contest name for which you are entering for a chance to win, and a hand written 100 word letter explaining why you would like to win Barenaked Ladies VIP Experience and mail it to 817 Fort Street, Victoria BC V8W 1H6. You will receive one (1) entry into the Contest during the entry period for which your request was postmarked and received, to be postmarked by the Contest Closing Date. Limit of one (1) mail-in request per postage stamped envelope per day.

  (b) A random draw by a Rogers Broadcasting Limited ("Rogers") representative, from all completed entries received as of the Contest Closing Date will be made on March 31st 2010  at approximately 6:00am at 817 Fort Street, Victoria, BC.  Selected entrant will be contacted by telephone or email address at the telephone number or email address as indicated on their member account/mail in entry.

(c) If a selected entrant cannot be reached, by April 2nd, 2010, incorrectly answers the skill testing question, does not return a sign acknowledgement and release as indicated below, or declines the prize another entrant will be selected on April 5th,  2010.

2.   No purchase, expenditure or investment is necessary to enter this Contest.

3.   Participants will be eligible to win one (1) Grand Prize consisting of two (2) front row tickets to see Barenaked Ladies on April 6th, 2010 at the Save on Foods Memorial Centre, Limo service from LA Limousines, dinner at the Black Olive up to a maximum of $100, and a back stage meet & greet with the band (must be used April 6th, 2010) valued at approximately $1000.  Any items ordered above the allocated amount are the responsibility of the winner. Any items of a personal nature are the responsibility of the winner, including but not limited to transportation, and any other items of a personal nature, not mentioned as part of the prize. Must be used on this date no other dates are available. If the winner is unable to attend on this date, the prize will be forfeited. Rogers is not responsible in the event of a cancellation and that part of the prize will be forfeited.

4.   All prizes must be accepted as awarded.  Rogers reserves the right to substitute a prize of at least equal or greater value in the event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised prize. 

5.   In order to win, selected entrant must first correctly answer, unaided, a time limited, mathematical skill testing question, posed by telephone at a mutually convenient time.  Rogers judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the Contest and the awarding of prizes.

6.   Entrant will be required to return a signed release and acknowledgment form before being declared a winner.

7.   By entering this Contest, each entrant consents to the use of his/her entry, name, city of residence and/or photograph in any publicity carried out by Rogers and/or its advertising agencies, without further compensation.  Winner consents to their photograph being taken by Rogers for such use, without further compensation.  All entries become the property of Rogers.

8.   This Contest is open to the residents of the Victoria, British Columbia area and all 98.5 The OCEAN terrestrial listeners who are over the age of 19, as of the date of entry, except employees of Rogers, its parent and affiliate companies; its representatives and agents, the Contest suppliers and those with whom they are domiciled.  The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. 

9.   No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant.

10. Chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.  Rogers is unaware of how many entrants there may be.  The winner may come from any geographic area, so long as they otherwise qualify to enter the Contest.

11. All entries which are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by Rogers.  Rogers takes no responsibility for lost, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors.

12. Rogers is collecting personal data about entrants for the sole purpose of administering this Contest.  No further informational or marketing communications will be received by the entrant unless the entrant provides the Sponsors with explicit permission to do so as indicated on the entry form.  Please see our Privacy Policy at www.rogers.com for full information on the company’s policy towards maintaining the privacy and security of user information.

13. This Contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to     amendment by Rogers.  Entrants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules if they participate in the Contest.

14. The terms of this Contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
