The sun always shines at the Saanich Fair, right? Well at least for some of the time since we all know the sun can’t shine everyday, right? This year was no exception, after a dreary weather forecast for the Labour Day long weekend, we all still made our plans to head to the fair and make the best of it. It did not disappoint.

From cheese blintz to the Zipper, donkeys to enormous rabbits, the Saanich Fair is a great tradition before we all get a little more subdued and head back to school.

Before we got too serious, it looks like we needed to have a good time…And with Trooper finishing off their Canadian tour at the Saanich Fair — We came for a good time, maybe not a long time..and you know the rest.

Trooper’s Hot Shots album of greatest hits was released late in 1979 and went on in the 80’s to break all records for Canadian sales of a Canadian album. Ocean 98.5 takes you back to the heyday of Trooper with the Awesome 80’s Lunch weekdays at Noon.
