We hear horror stories all the time about parenting teens. The most frightening stories may be our own memories of being a teenager, at least for me. Parents mostly just want to make the whole teenager phase a little smoother for our kids and give them the tools to deal with all the new adult ideas being thrown at them.

As my kids move into the bullseye of that phase in life, it’s not as scary as I thought it might be. Except for some days, hahah.

That’s why thankfully, we have resources like the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Victoria.

I had a chance to chat with Miriam who runs a number of parenting programs through Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Victoria, and even nabbed some parenting advice.
