When he was at his height of success back in the 80’s with a #1 hit in 25 countries, Rick Astley never thought he’d be putting out new albums when he was 50. So when he re-kindled his love of performing on stage in Japan about ten years ago, it seemed like a good way to embrace 50 and put out a new record.

And as the universe would have it, a teenager that was once glued to MuchMusic back in the 80’s watching his videos had a chance to chat with Rick Astley on the phone the other day. That was not something I’d ever imagined would happen, so naturally, I Rickrolled with it…
