With anticipation building for Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show featuring Lady Gaga, let’s take a look back at halftime shows in Super Bowl history.

In 1993, the NFL secured their first worldwide superstar headlining act. Arguably the biggest star in the world at the time, Michael Jackson. The King of Pop performed “Jam”, “Billie Jean”, “Black Or White”, “We Are The World”, and “Heal The World”.

In 1998 Boyz II Men, Smokey Robinson, Martha Reeves, The Temptations, Queen Latifah, and the Grambling State University Marching Band performed a tribute to Motown’s 40th anniversary.
