In what could be one of the saddest moments of 2018, a kickstarter campaign for Ketchup Slices has reached it’s fundraising goal. After reaching well over it’s $15,000 goal, “Bo’s Original Slice of Sauce™” has earned over $24,000 CAD at the time of this article being written.

Here’s how Bo’s Fine Food describes their product, “an all-natural, no-mess ‘slice’ of ketchup… a flavor-packed condiment offering a clean label, portable experience with 8 slices per pack. Layer it onto your burgers, sandwiches, wraps and more for a delicious burst of flavor and a perfect no-mess bite every time.”

Despite generally creeping us out, the mess angle is actually a great one. If you have toddlers, or children (Ketchup’s main audience) then this could be quite a tempting product for you. Especially if you’ve scrubbed away at stains after a summer bbq. Other than that, I sincerely hope this will be the first and last food condiment that is turned into a solid form. This could potentially create a spiral effect in the food industry than I’m not sure we’re ready for. Does everything need to be a solid to accommodate our busy lifestyles? Is this truly a step forward!?

They hope to have these shipping to supporters by May of this year.
