The Fun Finder kicked off the weekend with a Fall staple – Girl Guide cookie sales! Girl Guides from the 1st Emily Carr Rangers at the Red Barn Market in Esquimalt.  Chocolatey Mint Girl Guide Cookies are one of their top sellers and they were selling like hotcakes!  The cookie sales were even sweeter as the Fun Finder was stocked with extra swag from Hillside Shopping Centre, gift cards from Pho Halong, and safety lights from Pine Lighting Victoria!  We even sent a few lucky listeners to see a Victoria Royals Hockey game!

Over at Galey Farms, Pumpkin Fest is in full swing.  The newly appointed Ocean Locomotion escorted hundreds of happy families around and through the attractions at the farm.  Cat the Friendly Witch gave us a great tour through the Haunted House on the other side of the Corn Maze and a trip through the Old Tyme Village was full of frights!

On Sunday, the Ocean 98.5 Cheer Station cheered on over 8500 runners participating in the 40th Annual Victoria Goodlife Marathon.  Participants walked, jogged, danced and SMILED their way through their choice of 8km, Half Marathon, or Full Marathon races.  Families cheered on their runners with cowbells, signs, and more high fives than can ever be counted!!  And there were a few extra celebrations – one couple danced to their 8 week anniversary in front of the Ocean tent and a few marathoners were running for their birthdays including 80 years young Molly!

Next weekend, you can find the Fun Finder supporting more Girl Guide Cookie Sales at Country Grocer in Esquimalt, Coats for Kids at Hillside Shopping Centre, and hanging out with the Ocean Locomotion at Pumpkin Fest.  Check our Facebook page for updates and other events!
