It has been an awesomely busy weekend for the Fun Finder!

For the first stop on Friday, the Fun Finder teamed up with Robin and AJ for the At Work Perk to deliver cupcakes from Cupcakes at Uptown to Mount Douglas Medical Clinic and VCA Feltham Veterinary Hospital.  Otis the Wonder Dog even helped!

Friday night kicked off the real start to the weekend with the National Rowing team and the Big Pho Challenge at Pho Halong. Team members attempted to eat 6lbs of Pho in under 30 minutes – a few of them demolished the giant bowl of soup and all of them put forth a valiant effort.

On Saturday, the Fun Finder was at Hillside Shopping Centre and the Coats for Kids event – every year, local teachers collect new or gently used jackets and redistribute them to students within our communities.  It’s a huge undertaking –they worked hard to fill a giant yellow school bus!  Teachers and educational assistants do a lot for students, in and out of our schools.  Thank your school staff today!

When in doubt, dance it out!  Sunday morning, the Fun Finder grooved to great tunes with great Girl Guides and Guide Leaders in front of the Country Grocer in Esquimalt.  The Chocolatey Mint Girl Guide Cookies were flying off the shelves!

After our fill of Girl Guide Cookies, it was off to Moxies for some hot coffee…

And then on to Galey Farms for Pumpkin Fest and a ride on the Ocean Locomotion!  A trip around the farm on the mile-long track means that you get to see all the sights – including Howard, the giant Gnome keeping overwatch on the pumpkin patch.

Cupcakes, pho, coffee, cookies… I’m stuffed! It was a great weekend!

Next weekend, you can find the Fun Finder at Marty’s Birthday – the Victoria Royals will be taking on the Kamloops Blazers at the Save On Foods Memorial Centre on Saturday and at Wicked Victoria on Sunday.
