Another great week in the books as we creep closer to the Christmas season!  This week, the Fun Finder teamed up with Jenna Davies, Ocean 98.5’s Weekend Host, to celebrate National Philanthropy.  Students from around Victoria came together at Oak Bay High School to learn about philanthropy and what it means to be an ‘Agent of Change’.  Each student received a $100 Canada Helps Gift Card thanks to the generosity of Andrew D. Beckerman Fund and Viveka Foundation Fund at the Victoria Foundation.  They are going to use these gift cards to help achieve their own personal philanthropic goals.

On Saturday, the Fun Finding Team set up the Ocean 98.5 Lock Box at Hillside Shopping Centre and packed it full of amazing prizes.  A few lucky Ocean listeners were able to crack the code and happily walked away with passes to Night of Lights, Royals Hockey tickets, and even Moxies Grill and Bar gift cards!

Soon, it was time to fuel up the Fun Finder Team, and no better place to do it than a stop at Moxies – after giving away so many gift cards, we at Moxies on the brain!  Coffee, yes please!!

And what goes best with coffee?  The best cupcakes in town – now dressed for Christmas Parties!  The Fun Finder Team needed to carb up, because Sunday was a big day.

In fact, Sunday was a day we had been waiting for for a while!  Finally – Night of Lights at Hillside Shopping Centre!  Great entertainment, amazing food, incredible sales, and fantastic prizes.  The Lock Box did not disappoint!  Nine lucky winners emptied the Lock Box Sunday night!  And we made sure no one went home empty-handed.  Our friends at Pine Lighting Victoria are helping everyone have a safe and happy holiday season with very handy safety lights; the blinking lights indoors fit in perfectly indoors and with the early dark nights, walking will be a little be merrier.
