The Bay Centre was abuzz with activity this past Wednesday as teams from around the city decorated their Christmas trees in support of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.  Under the careful guidance of Susan Knight and Jenna Davies, Ocean 98.5’s tree “Bubbles Noelle McKraken” was brought to life!  A gorgeous purple octopus, Bubbles Noelle McKraken represents resiliency (she can regrow her limbs), care for her fellow octopi, and our local oceans.

Throughout the weekend, the Ocean 98.5 Lock Box challenged listeners at events around town!  At the Out of Hand Modern Market at Crystal Gardens, the Fun Finder Team stocked the Lock Box with Market Bucks, Ocean 98.5 Coffee Mugs, Deco De Mode gift cards, and all sorts of goodies!  We discovered new favourite cookies and handed out our signature Christmas stickers – perfect for decorating letters to Santa!

On Saturday, the Fun Finder Team spent the day at Pho Halong Vietnamese Kitchen for their Open House.  Translation:  Games, Prizes, and FOOD!  So much delicious food!!! The Prize Wheel treated guests to incredible prizes and the Lock Box challenged everyone’s code-cracking skills!

Sunday, the Fun Finder Team headed to Oak Bay Village for an incredible afternoon that kicked off a month of Christmas activities.  Live music, aromatic food trucks, arts and crafts – it was a magical start to Christmas in Oak Bay! And the Big Man himself arrived in style!!  Santa and Mrs. Claus were escorted atop a bright red fire truck courtesy of the Oak Bay Fire Department.

Coming up this week, you can find the Fun Finder Team downtown Friday at the GVHA Marina Light Up, Saturday at Santa’s Light Parade, and in Sidney on Sunday at the Sidney Sparkles Parade.  Stop by and say hi!
